Friends? That's a laugh. Alphie couldn't care less about getting people to like him. He's fine on his own, and doesn't want to have to worry about changing who he is just to get someone to want to be around him. It's a good thing he doesn't care too, because I doubt he'd be able to make many friends even if he tried. He's just too critical and distrusting. However, like Kim says, nothing's impossible. If someone comes into the store a lot and talks literature with him, Alphie will probably be pretty civil with them, and might even enjoy their conversation. If someone goes out of their way and shows interest in getting to know Alphie, he's sure to grow less harsh, but it'll take time. You're going to have to be determined and patient if you want to befriend him, and still accept that potential that, even after all your generosity and attempts to show him kindness, he still won't trust you, and will leave you if a situation gets tough. |

I don't know if "enemies" is the right word, but Alphie will definitely have people who aren't fond of him. He won't go out of his way to screw you over or ruin your day, but he won't be a ray of sunshine should you stumble upon him either. But remember, his sister is a vigilante after Team Rocket. That might not help him out too much, even if he isn't on good terms with his family and hasn't talked to them since he left home four years ago. I don't really have many ideas here, but I'm up for anything, so throw it at me. |
