When had he made this choice? His whole life, Kohaku lived each day as itself rather than thinking of the one to follow. Every day was treated as a gift, every sunrise and thankful blessing. Such is common from those who arise from more troubled beginnings. Yet as time went on and he found himself in a safer setting, a more humble and warm life, the future became something loud and demanding. Somehow, in the time of needing a plan and future to keep the life he had, the young male had picked this path above all the rest. The one that had him, currently, leaning against the front of his desk while students fumbled to take their seats before the dooming chime of the bell. What in the hell made him become a teacher. Kohaku couldn't remember. It certainly wasn't a love for rules - seeing how many he bent and inched around. Like his clothing, today being simple jeans and a open hoody tugged over a faded old tee-shirt. He looked like he stumbled out of a college night class and wound up in the wrong place. He didn't mind the lectures he got for his clothing, nor the looks. It made him comfortable, and honestly, he felt the lack of suit and tie made the children comfortable as well. Perhaps it was his love for children, such was obvious as he looked over the small group with a sense of care. Yeah, that was probably it. He would just assume such. The bell rung and the man pushed off his desk to slowly close the classroom door before turning to the group with his usual and expected smile, followed by a faint wave. "Good afternoon. I hope you all are well today and ready for the assignment. Something easy, a light thinker today.".

She never really cared for school. Well, that was a bit of an overshot. She liked the sports, and PE classes, but any other class? No, not really her forte. She wasn't any good in them, so she didn't like them. It was as simple as that. Things like math and science simply didn't come very easily for her. History was just memorization, which was just awful. Who could possibly memorize all of those dates and names and titles, and ugh! It was just awful. She barely scraped by last year with a D. Her dad was disappointed in her grades, always, but her mom, well. She hadn't been the best student either, she'd heard. Kohaku Lebara had a weird name and Charlie was fairly confused by it. It was like his parents couldn't decide where he came from, because surely, those names weren't from the same continent. However, he seemed pretty relaxed for a teacher, which Charlie appreciated, because she didn't need another teacher shoving work down he throat and calling it reasonable. She didn't have time to spend three hours on Biology. She had things to do.. like not homework. He even dressed more relaxedly than some of the students here. She picked a seat in the middle row and hiked her boots up upon her desk as she leaned her head back and rubbed her eyes. School started too early. Too early for living. What person just decided to make school happen so early? Demons, that was who. Awful people. Probably nerds. Did nerds even sleep? Probably not. They were probably robots.. which made sense. That was why they were so good at math. She slipped her hands into her hoody's pockets. "What're we doin'?" She voiced. A light thinker? She preferred a No thinker. That was the best. All action, no thought. Seemed perfect. Could she sleep? That was a light thinker, right? If the assignment was sleep, she could own that.
