It was not the prettiest day to be out for a walk. But, without a vehicle or even a license, Kaizer and Sparrow didn't have another choice. The little girl was clothed by a rain jacket and gumboots, with the hood sure to be pulled up. While her father, on the other hand, only wore a thick sweater and a pair of sneakers. He was soaked right through, his shoes squishing from the water that filled them, before he even reached the front door to their destination. While Sparrow had been having fun jumping in every puddle she came across, Kaizer had avoided them in hopes of avoiding making his wet situation any worse.
Where was their umbrella? People might ask. Kaizer had brought one along, but due to the high winds, it just flipped inside out every time he opened it. So, the umbrella was out of the questions. There was a loud, fast knock that lasted a few seconds as Sparrow played out a random tune on the door with her fist. They'd called beforehand, wanting the man and his son to know that they'd be coming for a visit. Kai would hate to come at an inconvenient time and have to walk all the way back through this rain to return home.
Under Kaizer's sweater was a bag, kept safely shielded from the rain. Or so he hoped. The plastic bag was feeling a little damp, but he was sure the contents inside had to have been safe. They were a little early, despite the weather. And he hoped that this wouldn't effect any of Kohaku's plans. They just wanted out of the drought as soon as they possibly could. Kaizer knew he was going to catch an awful cold from this, but at least Sparrow looked warm and was surely dry under all those layers.

( WRITING THIS ON FRIEND'S LAPTOP!! make all pretty later promise! )
Unlike the outside, Kohaku's house was bright and warm. The heater was on a nice low and the oven gave even more warmth, though it was slowly fading away. The smell stayed - of the dinner Kohaku had made for the company that was coming. A simple meatloaf that he hoped dear Sparrow would enjoy. He assumed Kaizer would, hadn't they once had a fleeting conversation about such a thing? The table had just been set, the last little bowl of green beans when the door bell rang. Mink let out a cheerful "Bell!! " and earned a hair ruffle from his father before being lifted up into a hug. Wrapping his small arms around the man's neck, mink rest his head on his father's shoulder as they went to the door. Opening it with a bright smile, it only lasted for a second before falling into a deep scowl. "You are soaked.". Reaching out, Kohaku moved a hand behind Kaizer's lower back and moved him inside the house. Quick to lock the door, Kohaku set Mink down - who smiled at Sparrow and waved - before tugging Kaizer into a faint and rather damp hug. Idiot. "Would.. you like a shower Kaizer? Some other clothing? oh gosh.. I think I have something for Sparrow.. why didn't you call me to pick you up!"

There was an excited squeal and, before she could even get both boots or her coat off, the little girl was charging toward the boy her age with open arms. She'd been waiting all day just for the chance to see him! She already saw him every day at school, but she rarely saw Mink in the weekends. Usually, she was too busy spending time with her daddy. Now she was able to spend time with the both of them.
Kaizer didn't leave the front door until he'd pulled off his shoes and set them down where they wouldn't make a wet mess. His socks were torn off and tucked into the shoes as well, because they were just as soaked. The bag he'd been carrying slid free from his sweater, hitting the ground with a wet squelch. The young man gasped, pulled into a hug by the taller, and shoving at his chest in hopes of him letting go. He was too wet to be dishing out hugs right now! "M-mr. LeBara, please... the walk wasn't worth the drive," Kaizer explained, trying to peel off his sweater without taking the undershirt with it. The shirt underneath was black, making the dampness unnoticeable until anyone touched the fabric. "I could use a towel."

"Nonsense! I would drive five minutes in this terrible weather for you". He gave a smile that was unseen by the stripping male. Watching the other, Kohaku reached out and grabbed the other's under-shirt and pulled it up. When the sweater was yanked, the under-shirt peeled with it and left the other bare. Of course, only for a moment. Barely waiting to stare at the other's bare torso, Kohaku grabbed the hem of his own black shirt and tugged it off. Quick to grab the wet clothing, he half offered the shirt, half tried to tug it over Kaizer's head. "This shall keep you warm..~ I hope you are hungry!"Meanwhile, Mink let out a small squeak before hiding his shy face against the small girl's shirt. Squirming a bit, he looked up at her and gave a silent smile, small fists clinging to the other's back in a hug before trying to wiggle away from the hug, mumbling. "t..too tight!".

Would Kohaku really? Didn't the man not like being in vehicles? So that must have been saying a lot, if he meant it. But Kaizer didn't want to put his friend through that. They'd had a very fun and eventful walk here. Sparrow had been enjoying every big puddle they happened across. A sudden yelp left the raven-haired male, jerking his body back and trying to hold his clothing down, while the other man tried to tear it right off.
Kaizer's face was bright red by the time his shirt was gone. He tried to cover himself with just his hands, wanting to hide his pasty, pale skin and the ribs that could be seen all thanks to his all too thin build. In a desperate attempt to hide himself. Kaizer accepted the shirt, helping to pull it over his body, and apparently his hips. The young man was much smaller than Kohaku, and the shirt was much too big for him. "K-kohaku! You put a shirt on right now! There are children in the room," the young parent lectured, his gaze jerking away, eyes shut tight and cheeks aflame, as he avoided looking at the now half-nude man in front of him. He didn't want to see. He didn't need uneccessary thoughts crawling through his mind.
Sparrow hadn't let go of Mink, but her arms moved from his body to put hands over his eyes. She gasped in shock, hiding her own face against little Minky's hair. "Everyone can see your daddy's boobs! Don't look," she squealed, giggling despite all of it. It wasn't anything she hadn't seen before. She knew what a man's chest looked like. She'd done her fair share of staring, even at this age.

He was such a silly man. Laughing, Kohaku draped an arm over the young man and drew him close, nuzzling his nose into the dark mop, mumbling. "Don't be such a stick sweetheart, You need to warm up! I'll grab clothes in a moment. ..'sides, Mink's seen me shirtless tons of times.". Rolling his eyes, Kohaku slowly slid his arm away from the other and moved to the sweet girl, ruffling her hair before heading into the kitchen - still topless to grab some plates. Near the girl, Mink peered at her, a nervous smile. "Don'.. make funna daddy!". He wasn't mad though, still smiling before he tried to take Sparrow's hand, tugging her. "I gotta get you clothes! do..you want my hoodie?". He knew she liked his hoodie. Always taking it from him.

Unlike Minky, Kaizer hadn't seen Kohaku shirtless a ton of times. He wasn't sure if he'd ever seen the man without his clothing, and it was causing an unstoppable burn on Kaizer's cheeks. He could feel it and new how red he was, trying to keep his gaze low just in case no one would notice. He didn't see shirtless men often outside of the pictures on the covers of his novels. Kaizer wasn't one to go hangout at the pool or the beach, so any body that wasn't his own was considered new to him.
"K-kohaku! Don't you dare handle food without a shirt on! If you burn yourself or stain your skin, I will not help you," Kaizer lectured him, wanting any excuse he could find to get that man back into a shirt. Though he didn't want to give up the one he was wearing now. He was warmer now, despite his soaked through trousers.
Sparrow had only been kidding, and that showed when she giggled and stuck her tongue out at her little friend. She skipped a few steps away, her hands on her hips as she considered this and firmly nodded. "I want the hoodie! The one with the zipper. And the fuzzy inside? That one!" Sparrow stated, very adamant and decisive. She'd worn Mink's clothes before and had even explored his wardrobe once or twice. She knew what he had to offer and knew what she wanted. Mink always had better clothing than she did. The flaw was that they were all boy clothes. As expected from a boy.

Hearing Kaizer's words, Kohaku playfully rolled his eyes and grabbed his zip up from a chair as he passed it. Returning into the room, he set down two plates, then reappearing with two more smaller ones. Setting the plates at the table, he looked to the other with a weak smile, still shirtless but hey, he had a jacket! Not zipped up. What a view, seeing how those jeans hugged the young teacher's hips well enough to give the more shyer of the pair a good show. "Hush.. now come on.". He stepped towards the man and took his hand, leading Kaizer down the hall into his own bedroom. Once inside, he searched his drawers, tossing the other some sweats and jeans. "Wear anything you want, I'll toss your clothing in the dryer.". From the other room, Mink was following suit of his father. Having pulled out the clothing she asked for, the small child tugged his hamper over towards the girl, than turned his back and placed hands over his eyes. As his father taught him, to be polite. "Not looking, it's safe!"

Kaizer felt more comfortable in the bedroom than out where the children could see him while he stripped. Unfortunately, Kohaku being on the room while he tried to pull the shirt free from his body made his face a tad red. The shirt he'd been given was already wet. From his back was a pair of fluffy, white, cottony wings, which had absorbed enough water to probably fill a bathtub. They were soaked and they dripped all over the man's floor. Kaizer winced, his arms crossing protectively over his bare chest and stomach as he bashfully looked away and muttered, "C-could you get me a towel? I think a new shirt would be nice too." He tried to kick out of his jeans while he was at it, the wet fabric rubbing at and irritating his skin until they were finally off, leaving him in only damp boxers, which were not coming off.
The little girl was in another room, bouncing along and snuggling Mink's hoodie into her arms. Like her father, the girl was dry beneath her rubber raincoat. She didn't need a chance of clothes, but she pulled the hoodie over her head nonetheless, just for the sake of warmth. "You dumb! You can look. I have nothing to hide," Sparrow giggled, spinning on her heels to face the friend and leaping toward him for another hug.

A towel was easy to fetch since his room was the master - an attached, small bathroom. Excusing himself, Koahku grabbed a fluffy white towel - much like the wings on the man's back - and brought it forth. Stepping in front of Kaizer, he draped the cloth over the man's bare shoulders and leaned down till their foreheads touched, eyes closed. " ..Thanks for coming over. Really. I have been terribly lonely lately, and I felt like I was losing my mind~". Being around the other kept him sane, was the point. They were dear, old friends. "I hope you have faired well lately as well..?". In the other room, Mink peeked between his fingers, unsure if it was really safe before being attacked. Letting out a loud squeak, the children toppled to the floor while Mink gave a gentle whine adn squirmed beneath her, bright blue eyes focused on the bright girl - so much bright in the room, golly gosh - and he gave a shy smile. "All dry now! now you won't get sniffles"

He laughed, tugging the other close in a looser, one armed hug. The arm being laid across the smaller's lower back. A light embrace the old friend should be use to by now with this certain fellow. "You know I love my son more than nything, however it is hard to engage..certain conversations with them. Such a smart child, but a child none the less. Sometimes I seek.. more.. aged conversations.". He took a breath after saying all this, giving a light 'sorry' and an awkward smile to the other. "But .. I hate sniffles! I like soup.. but sniffles are gross!". Though he loved being sick - for different reasons. Being sick meant his daddy would take off and be by his side all day. That his daddy would coddle and spoil him. He was a bad, BAD boy! He knew he shouldn't think that way but he wanted more time with the busy man - yet he knew the other work for their benefit. "..we can still watch a movie!"

"So you're looking to talk about something mature and adult rated with me?" Kaizer questioned, his eyes narrowing in suspicious. This was Kohaku, so he was a little worried about what on earth the man might have on his mind. But if Kohaku wanted to talk, then Kaizer was all ears. "Before or after dinner? I'm sure the children would like to eat." His voice was soft, a hand lifting to cover Kohaku's as he peered up at him. Feeding the children was the most important, but Kai wouldn't admit that he was probably much hungrier than Sparrow was. She had breakfast and lunch today. Kaizer snuck a bit of cheese from the sandwich he made her. That was his meal today.
Sparrow went rolling off of Mink and onto her back, a light oof as she was now position to stare up at her friend's ceiling, and all the little textures dotted across it. "Can we watch... The Lion King? Do you have the Lion King?!" she gasped in excitement, bolting upright and covering her mouth. She hadn't seen the Lion King in so many months, it felt like! Her daddy always downloaded movies on the laptop, but there were so many that she forgot The Lion King had even been on there.

"Kai!! I would never talk about those things with you..". He smirked, cupping the smaller man's face in his hands, leaning in to softly kiss his forehead, whispering to him. "I'd never expose my sweet little angel to such horrible things.". He smirked at the other, knowing he'd enjoy that nickname. Kai scared like eh couldn't stand it, but to be honest, he loved it. At least, if those little blushes meant he enjoyed it that is. "..you're right however. It's time to go feed the children". Squeezing Kai's shoulders, he made a move to leave the room - forgetting a shirt still. "I gotta ask..". He spoke these words softly, looking away. His father never liked television. In fact it was Kaizer who made him get one -- the man never saw a reason to have one. No though, with little Mink, he felt like spoiling the child. Often he allowed him to have movies and such. However he was very stringy with how often he allowed him to watch. Worried about it harming his little head. "b..but fro you i'm sure he would! I watched it once with daddy.. I liked the birdy".

Hallelujah for that. Kaizer didn't want to know anything about Kohaku's sex life. It was probably M rated. The young father preferred to listen to fictional stories that he could fantasize about, not people's real life stories about what's going on with them sexually. It caused him to feel nervous and awkward, but maybe a little bit lonely most of all. "I hope you made a large meal. Sparrow's stomach is bottomless and I've watched her eat more than grown adults do," the boy warned, arms crossed comfortably over his chest, now with a warm shirt over it and his dried wings. He was thankful he wouldn't have to make a wet mess out of Kohaku's house anymore.
Reaching out, Sparrow reached for Mink's hands, holding them both tight and pulling on them quickly to try and lead him out of the room. They needed to go ask right away! She wouldn't be able to sit still unless she could convince Mink's daddy-o to let them watch the movie. "You're silly. The birdy isn't cool at all. The lions are! They're the main characters, after all. I like the mean and scary one. Scar is his name," the girl giggled, baring her teeth just like a lion would. But she refrained from letting out a growl. Her daddy always told her it was unlady-like to growl.
